I conducted a routine inspection of Dakota Oil & Gas Co.'s Davis 3 well (API 063-34442) in Washington Twp., Indiana Co. The well has been plugged and a monument bearing the permit number has been installed. Post-plugging site restoration, including permanent stabilization of the well site, should be completed 9 months after plugging completion. The Department recommends that additional seed and mulch be applied to achieve temporary stabilization of the well pad. The minimum mulch application rate is 3 tons per acre. There are no violations being cited at this time for this location. |
