The pit sustained 2ft of freeboard and appeared sound in construction. The disturbed areas surrounding the well site were temporarily reseeded. Noted possible E&S concerns with filter fabric fence installed on the down slope side of the well pad, it is recommended that the BMP be maintained to ensure proper functioning stability. Observed that initial filter fence was overtopped with runoff and replaced with an additional fence. In order to prevent such an event from reoccurring a rocked interceptor ditch may be installed on well pad. Also noted that culvert pipe installed in access road directly before well pad was crushed and partially buried, it recommended that the culvert be maintained and/or replaced to ensure proper drainage techniques are sustained.At the time of inspection, accelerated erosion or sedimentation issues were not observed, but the above recommendations should be performed to prevent any such pollution event(s) in order to ensure compliance. |
