Well is located 8 ft south of the bike trail east of North Edinburg, and covered in a 4 ft x 8 ft sheet of 3/4-inch plywood. The plywood is oil-stained, as well as the soil and vegetation immediately around the casing. Soil is subsiding and there is a strong crude oil smell at the site. Re-installed plywood after inspection, flagged in orange flagging, and installed a temporary aluminum tag with the API number on a nearby sapling. Ditch to UNT to Mahoning River is located nearby. Drilling, casing, plugging, and production status unknown. Photos 1-3 attached. |
