2392805 | Primary Facility | 2015-07-23 | Follow-up Inspection | Outstanding Violations - No Viols Req'd | conclusion of a shut-in pressure test conducted by Range Resources. Onsite were: Larry Hamilton, Range production supervisor who was observing; Matthew Caldwell, Moody geologic technician, who was monitoring annular atmospheres and collecting isotopic samples where warranted by sufficient methane gas; and Irv Gleason, also with Range Resources. The 13-3/8” x 9-5/8” annular vent was examined first. Of the two annular vents on this well, the 13-3/8” x 9-5/8” vent is the one further from the access road. A 0-30psi water-filled gauge was attached to the annulus prior to opening the vent. The pressure reading from this gauge was 0psi. Caldwell detected: 240 ppm CH4, 17.4% O2, 2 ppm CO2, 0 ppm H2S. There was not enough CH4, to collect a sample. For the 9-5/8” x 5-1/2” annular vent a 0-30 psi water-filled gauge was showing 0 psi. : 14% vol CH4, 150 ppm CO; 1.1% vol O2. Caldwell sampled this gas. Also sampled was gas from the production casing. The pressure on this casing was 1250 psi. Compositional parameters were: 99% gas, 156 ppm CO, 0.4% O2. |

2430546 | Primary Facility | 2015-12-04 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | Outstanding Violations - No Viols Req'd | Arrived @ at 9:45. Weather: cloudy, windy, not too cold. Rig onsite to mill a window in the 5-1/2” casing from 2510’ to 2540’. Personnel onsite included: Joel Hall, Darrell Kepner, and Sonny Stitts (Range) , Keith Houseknecht (Patriot Fluid Services), and staff with Oil States, and Weatherford. At the time of my arrival, crew were addressing a leak at the JU stripper head, and installing a 0-1000 psi analog gauge on the 5-1/2” casing. The gauge initially showed < 100 psi and stabilized at approximately 50 psi. The casing milling began during my inspection at approximately 11:45. Metal returns at the plug catcher and the water tank magnet were minimal (see photos). Milling tool had traveled approximately 3’ when I left the the location @ 15:35. There were no further violations at the time of my inspection. |
2430577 | Primary Facility | 2015-12-07 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | Outstanding Violations - No Viols Req'd | Arrived @ at 08:00. Weather: fog. Rig onsite to mill a window in the 5-1/2” casing from 2510’ to 2540’. Personnel onsite included: Joel Hall, Darrell Kepner, and Sonny Stitts (Range), and staff with Oil States, and Weatherford. This is the second pass of the section mill following a blade change on 12/6/15. Metal returns were more abundant: in one hour, from 14:00 to 15:00, and 6” of drilling, returns filled one of the plug catcher screens (see photos) . Large shards (¿ 3-4”) were observed and there was a soft brown material in the water tank (see photos). This material reacted with phenolphthalein, suggesting that it is cement. At 15:15, a total of 34” had been milled on the second pass. There were no additional violations. Left location @ 15:40. |
2431613 | Primary Facility | 2015-12-09 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | Outstanding Violations - No Viols Req'd | Arrived @ at 08:00. Weather: fog.
