Hydro-seeding has been completed on the site in several applications. The first seed application is well established and the second application has already begun to sprout. The basin has exceptional vegetative growth and its baffles have been established according to specifications. The clay berm for the wetland appears to be functioning properly and no adverse impacts were observed. Several trees located in wetlands just outside the LOD were blown over by recent storms and will remain the landowners concern. The drainage swale along the access road appears to be conveying stormwater and should be seeded and stabilized with matting or rock stabilized ASAP to minimize potential for accelerated erosion. |

The previously slumped slopes have been armored and the remaining material applied and hydro-seeded. The drain was installed, but was not conveying water at the time of the inspection. Ironically water was ponded on the surface of the pad and slopes were visibly wet (indicating water seeping out). At the entrance to the site, a sump was constructed and seeded. Silt sock remains undercut and has not been effectively maintained. In addition, the heavy rubber erosion matting/channel liner has been undercut and a channel is forming. Please address this when it is practical as this channel will continue to contribute to E&S concerns. Please address these E&S measures ASAP. Overall, I am concerned for the long-term stability of this site considering the amount of water visible even now in relatively favorable (dry) conditions. |

Three well cellars have been installed but I found no indications that well drilling was ever initiated.
The landowner is also in the process of timbering the woods around the well pad. Evidence suggests a log skidder tracked through wetlands (being monitored as part of the well pad construction) around the well pad and across the LOD. I noticed three wetland monitoring locations that did not appear to have been disturbed but it appears that wetlands AA, EE, and D were tracked through along with the UNT to Murray Run west of the well pad. Logging has continued around the well pad as noted in my 5/17/2016 inspection report. I noticed three wetland monitoring locations that did not appear to have been disturbed but it appears that wetlands AA, EE, and D were tracked through along with the UNT to Murray Run west of the well pad. Erosion is now noted within the LOD north of Wetland DD caused by deep ruts from a log skidder. This earth disturbance was clearly caused by the logging operation and will be referred to the Waterways and Wetlands Program.
