| 2645859 | Primary Facility | 2017-10-10 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On 10/10/17 at 1235 hrs I conducted an inspection of the Handwerk Unit 1 well site. No one was present at the site. It was sunny and 70 degrees F.
The Handwerk 1 well was drilled by Tenaska in 2011; the target formation listed on the well plat is the Bradford Group. The well, pump jack, production equipment and tank were enclosed in a fenced area. The well was tagged. According to DEP records, the well is not in production and is waiting on a pipeline connection. The site is restored and permanently stabilized as per 25 Pa Code Section 102.22(a). A Well Site Restoration Report (WSRR) was not found on file. A WSRR should be submitted as per 25 Pa Code Section 78.65(3), which states, in part: "Within 60 days after the restoration of the well site, the operator shall submit a well site restoration report to the Department." It is encouraged that the WSRR be submitted electronically. I departed the location at 1310 hrs. TLT |
