2828986 | Primary Facility | 2019-01-14 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | A routine inspection of this abandoned well was conducted January 14, 2019. The well was inspected as part of an abandoned/orphan well investigation.
At the time of inspection, an approximately 8" casing was observed, extending 1' above ground level. The casing was capped. There was a hole in the side of the casing near ground level which allowed access for a field reading taken with an Altair 5x gas meter placed inside the casing. No gas was detected. No obvious emergency conditions were observed. |
2837390 | Primary Facility | 2019-02-05 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | A routine inspection of this abandoned well was conducted February 5, 2019. The well was inspected as part of an abandoned/orphan well investigation.
An inspection report was generated for this permit number in on January 14, 2019 after discovering what appeared to be a well casing near where this well was inaccurately plotted from coordinates in our database. After reviewing Department records further, a location plat for this well was found. The well inspected today was found at the location shown on the location plat on file (coordinates updated 2/5/2019). Additionally, casing diameters observed at this location resemble those listed on the well record for this permit number. At the time of inspection, the well had a 6" outer casing at ground level and a 4 1/2" casing extending approximately 2' above ground level. The 4 1/2" casing was capped and sealed with lockdown screws on the cap. The 4 1/2" casing appears to be uncemented and the annulus was open; no fluid or material was observed. There was no sm |
