2637427 Primary Facility 2017-09-19 Complaint Inspection No Violations Noted Service rig set up over wellhead at this time. Rods have been removed and tubing is in the process of being removed. I spoke with the service rig operator regarding the fire that occurred at the well site on 09/16. He informed me that he was heating the pipe while it was laying on the pipe rack in order to clean out the accumulated paraffin. While heating the pipe with a propane torch, the wind blew venting gas from the wellhead in the direction of the torch and the gas was ignited. The wellhead caught fire as a result. Attempts were made to put out the fire using the fire extinguisher in the rig, but were unsuccessful. The fire department was dispatched at this point and was able to extinguish the fire. No evidence of a fire was observed. There was some motor oil on the ground underneath the rig that had leaked from the deck engine. I told the rig operator that the motor oil should be cleaned up after the rig is moved off location.
2782640 Primary Facility 2018-10-02 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Well is equipped for production. Location has grown back in with grass since the fire and motor oil spill that occurred last year at this site.
