As per Chevrons response and numerous on site inspections by the department, operator has provided the required plan for remediation, performed the remedial cement job and subsequent monitoring of the well during adjacent frac jobs show the well appears to be properly isolated with cement. Further review after writing the initial violation shows that the operator did indeed notify the department and the violation for failure to notify of adefective cement job is incorrect and the violation for failure to notify is withdrawn. The Act 9 sign was in place and clearly legible at the site entrance which is secured with a locked gate. The well pad is also secured with a separate chain-linked fence and lock. The access road and the well pad are in good condition and the site is stabilized with vegetative growth. The secondary containment structure around the production tanks appears to be in good condition and functioning as intended. The gas wells appear to be in good working order and are labelled accordingly. No violations were identified during the inspection. |
