2493064 | Primary Facility | 2016-05-27 | Incident- Response to Accident or Event | In Compliance with Policy | On Friday May 27, 2016, I received notification of a spill that had occurred earlier in the day at the Zorro Well Site located in North Bethlehem Township, Washington County.
A dehydration unit was being flushed to remove glycol residue. Two waste tanks were staged on the well pad, each within containment, to collect and dispose of the spent fluid. Approximately 30 gallons of the freshwater, glycol and degreaser mixture was spilled to containment. It was estimated that at least half of the fluid had impacted the well pad due to a number of small breaches in the containment. Moody and Associates, Inc. were retained by Rice to complete the delineation and remediation work. Results from the confirmatory samples collected following site remediation will be forwarded to the Department upon receipt. The release was confined to a relatively small area of the pad, the vertical and horizontal extent of impact was defined and the area remediated. There were no impacts to off-site receptors or Waters of the Com |
2682451 | Primary Facility | 2018-01-10 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Today I conducted a routine inspection at the Zorro well pad and the following was observed.
Proper signs were displayed identifying the site. The site was stabilized with thick vegetation no erosion observed outside of the LOD. The well heads were maintained, no leaks or fluids around well head. The production tanks were in good condition no leaks , rust or defects observed. Secondary containment for the site was intact and maintained. |
