Landowner was not home at the time, so did not have access onto property to check for gas leaks or measure casing. Spoke with owner's father, who is next-door neighbor. He stated that the well was a dry hole as long as he had been living there (~ 60 years). Conductor/surface casing is 8" or 10", filled with concrete, with 1" pipe cemented in center. Well is situated 4-5 feet off the corner of the porch steps, 7-8 feet from the side of the house and ~20 feet from River Street. Well is ~65 feet from the Monongahela River. |
