The West 2H was spud December 30, 2015 and a renewal well permit was issued for the well in 2016. The last renewal permit expired January 6, 2017 and no drilling activity has occurred since the well was spud. Because the West 2H has not been drilled to total depth to enable production of gas since the well was spud in December 2015, the Clark Kleckner 5H is therefore an abandoned well, which SWN has failed to plug. SWNPC submitted an application for an Unconventional Well Permit (131-20542) on February 27, 2017 seeking to re-permit the expired well permit for the WY-18 West 2H well (131-20494). SWNPC’s NOV response indicated that there were imminent plans to resume drilling on the West 2H well. Although the initial permit application was determined to be deficient, SWNPC has sought to address the deficiencies and has continued to pursue the re-permit with the intent to resume drilling.
