The well is located at the Miami County Park District Loss Creek Reserve. Inspected well casing and did not observe any leakage from well casing or wellhead at the present time.
1295546200 Orphan No Violations -On site with Mike Mitchell per complaint
1295546964 2011-01-06 Orphan No Violations -On site w/ Mike Mitchell per complaint # 2939 received 12/9/10 (waited for Kevin Swanson to call us). Met with Kevin Swanson & Dan Weaver of Miami County Park District. Well is the Knoop well # 1 drilled beginning 11/24/64 & completed 2/7/65. Knoop farm is now Lost Creek Reserve Park (public working farm). Old farmhouse is now Miami Co. Park office. Well is 2000 ft NW of office/old farmhouse and around 300 feet SW of a cabin in the woods. 8 5/8ths surface casing and 4.5 production casing at the surface. Some gas is leaking. Gas meter indicated no H2S & highest level LEL is 4 at the surface casing. Records indicate well depth is 3061 w/ surface casing to to 412 & production casing to 1023. Photos taken. Kevin wanted to get it on the I/O program. Notified him that it may be some years before plugged if it qualified. Will get with Jeff Fry to do priorty matrix & get I/O package sent to Miami Co.
2077514841 2011-03-22 Orphan No Violations -On site w/ Jeff Fry for follow-up inspection per complaint # 2939 received 12/9/10 from Kevin Swanson of Miami County Park District on Lost Creek Reserve Park (former Knoop Farm). Well is the Knoop well # 1 drilled beginning 11/24/64 & completed 2/7/65. The farm is now a working park & the County Park District office is in the old farmhouse. Well is still leaking gas at the top of the production casing. Photos taken of the well and well site entrance noted. Right of Entry form left w/ Kevin to complete & submit. Matrix completed while on site. Title work done at the Miami Co. Courthouse after inspection. Well lease cancelled 8/18/99. Well never hooked up. Site eligible of I/O program. Completed Right of Entry form received on 3/24/11 & I/O package completed & sent to Jeff Fry in the Mt. Vernon office to review & submit to Mike McCormac for inclusion on the I/O list.
